Tooth Removal in Maple

Tooth removal can be a difficult and daunting experience for many people, which is why it is important to choose a dentist you can trust. The U Shine Dental team of Associates, Hygienists, and support staff have helped Maple residents safeguard their smiles for nearly two decades.

Practicing since 1998, the U Shine Dental team also spends considering time attending educational seminars to advance their knowledge of new technologies and treatment options, ensuring impressive results through a combination of academic and experiential knowledge.

Many questions will arise when you are told it's necessary to remove a tooth, not the least of which is how it will be replaced. We'll make sure to answer all of your questions before any treatment and make sure you understand all of the options to replace your missing tooth. Sometimes patients want to know if they do have to replace a missing back tooth. We will make sure you understand when it's best to replace a missing tooth and when it may not be necessary.

One reason a tooth requires extraction if it is impacting a neighbour tooth. If the tooth is not removed, it can become infected and damage other teeth.

Procedure

If the thought of having a tooth removed wasn't enough, patients often become somewhat anxious about the removal process itself. Our Maple dental team will make sure that you are completely comfortable during the entire procedure. Every precaution will be taken to ensure that you are completely 'numb' before we begin the process. For anxious patients we offer sedation to keep your mind at ease. Following the removal of your tooth we will make sure you know how to take care of the surgical area at home, and if any pain medications or antibiotics are necessary.

Front Teeth

In the event that you will be removing a front tooth we will plan for immediate replacement of that tooth before it is removed and will review the details of your case with you prior to any treatment.

Special Cases

Our office also works in conjunction with our Oral Surgeon Specialists. If you would like to be asleep while your tooth is removed or if your case is complicated, we'll refer you to one of our Oral Surgery partners. You can also be reassured that our Oral Surgeons are just as concerned about giving you the best possible experience as we are, and have been chosen because they provide excellent care.
