Dr. Sumit Gupta

Dr. Gupta is an experienced dentist and trained Endodontist from overseas, known for combining advanced clinical skills with a caring, patient-focused approach. With extensive clinical experience and a strong academic background as an Associate Professor in his earlier years, he brings a blend of precision, innovation, and patient-centred care to every treatment.

He offers expertise in root canal therapy (RCT), apicoectomy, simple and complex extractions, post and core build-ups, veneers, smile designing, diastema closure, clear aligners, and frenectomy. In addition, his clinical scope includes crowns and bridges, post core build-ups, teeth whitening, periodontal therapy, preventive care, pediatric dentistry, minor oral surgery, management of dental trauma, and many more restorative and cosmetic procedures. For patients who feel anxious, he also provides mild sedation options to ensure a stress-free experience.

Dr. Bajaj

Dr. Bajaj is a skilled and compassionate Associate Dentist with over four years of clinical experience. He provides high-quality, evidence-based dental care with a strong focus on patient comfort and long-term oral health.

He has extensive experience in restorative dentistry, endodontics, and surgical extractions, and brings a well-rounded perspective through his international clinical background while adhering to Canadian standards of care. Known for his gentle approach and clear communication, Dr. Bajaj takes pride in educating patients and creating personalized treatment plans.

Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with family, staying active, traveling, and exploring new cuisines.

Nandini Gupta - General Manager

A trained dentist from India with advanced qualifications in Hospital Administration and Medico Legal Systems from Symbiosis International University. As General Manager, she oversees organizational operations and marketing initiatives, bringing together clinical knowledge, healthcare management expertise, and strategic leadership.

Her multidisciplinary background enables her to effectively coordinate operational excellence, patient-focused services, and business development within the healthcare sector.

Achal - Dental Hygienist

Achal is a dedicated Dental Hygienist at UShine Dental and a foreign-trained dentist with over 30 years of experience in dentistry. She completed her Dental Radiography Certification at George Brown College and earned her Dental Hygiene Diploma from Regency Dental Hygiene School in Toronto.

She is committed to providing gentle, patient-centered care in a comfortable environment and enjoys working with patients of all ages, including those with dental anxiety, disabilities, and periodontal conditions.

Mary - Dental hygienist

With over 18years of experience in dental hygiene, I believe that dental care should be both effective and refined. I am dedicated to delivering exceptional care My approach combines advanced clinical skills with a gentle care and patient-centered experience in a calm and welcoming environment.

Her expertise includes scaling, polishing, professional whitening, and periodontal care, allowing her to provide comprehensive and personalized treatment for each patient.

Mathu - Dental Hygienist

With nearly 20 years of experience in dentistry, Mathu began her career as a dental assistant in 2005 before pursuing her passion for dental hygiene. She has been practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2009 and is dedicated to making every appointment as comfortable and positive as possible.

Mathu enjoys educating patients about their oral health and motivating them to build healthy habits at home. She finds it especially rewarding to see her patients' progress and growing confidence at each visit.

Outside the clinic, Mathu is a busy mom who loves spending quality time with her son and creating meaningful memories together.

Marie - Practice Administrator

Marie has been in the dental field since 2006 and joined our team in 2014. Known for her friendly smile and welcoming nature, she goes out of her way to create a pleasant atmosphere and help patients feel comfortable during their visits.

Her favourite part of the job is meeting wonderful people and building personal connections. Outside of work, Marie enjoys spending time with family and friends at the cottage and keeping up with her two growing teenage boys and her American Bulldog, Mocca.

Marie will ensure that every visit is a positive one and you leave with a shining smile. "When U Shine, She Shines!"

Paula - Office Administrator

With over 25 years of experience in the dental field, Paula has built a well-rounded career across many areas of dental practice. She began as a dental assistant and receptionist before working as a dental hygienist for 20 years, where she developed strong patient relationships and delivered quality care.

She brings her clinical and administrative knowledge to her role as Office Administrator, helping ensure smooth practice operations and a positive patient experience. Outside the office, Paula enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her husband and their two cats, Chico and Felix.

Venus - Dental Assistant

Venus is an internationally trained dentist who is passionate about dentistry and helping patients achieve optimal oral health. She has a positive, approachable attitude and cares deeply about supporting patients and the team.

She has fulfilled the requirements of the Dental Assistant program through NDAEB and has earned certifications in HARP and CPR. She is energetic, self-motivated, and always aims to contribute to the health of UShine patients and the continued growth of the clinic.

Aida - Dental Assistant

Aida is a Dental Assistant who plays an important role in supporting the efficient daily operation of the office. Her responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining infection control protocols, organizing treatment rooms, and making sure all equipment and materials are ready for patient care.

She helps create a safe, organized, and supportive environment for both patients and the dental team.
